It started out with a kiss

Two days before lockdown a friend of mine kissed me. A confused, twisted relationship began and we began speaking all the time. Writing letters, playlists and secret phone calls. 

One night, we bumped into each other on a walk and couldn’t keep away, so began meeting until the early hours most evenings. The one issue being that he still lived with his ex partner ... Once she found out it became very rocky, turbulent and pressured for our friendship. 

But now, he’s moved out, we can see each other whenever we want without the fear of being caught or breaking the “rules” and be just us. A love made through lockdown letters.
