The one that got away - finally came back. After 19 years of relationships with other people we both found ourselves single and in the same place at the same time: the first trip to the pub after lockdown eased... was it fate? - It sure felt like it? He looked just as beautiful as the day I first saw him at the age of 15. Trying not to make it obvious, we exchanged a brief hello before I left the pub that evening. Not wanting to let this opportunity pass me by, I send that message, the one where your heart is pounding, praying for a reply. I received that reply (heart still racing!), we had the 'first date' then within a week later we were official. As they say the rest is history and I will not be losing him again.
