Not looking for
"Not looking for a penpal. Let's just get a drink the old fashioned way" all the bios says.
Well, I don't want to meet up with someone I've hardly exchanged any messages with because it's "the old fashioned way". That isn't old-fashioned ...old fashioned is seeing someone across a room and being drawn to them, needing to be close to them and know their name, their story. Old fashioned is having a cautious flirt to test the waters and making plans/exchanging numbers. You setting rules about how someone is allowed to date you before you've even met just makes you sound like an asshole.
"Looking for a girl who doesn't take themselves too seriously" the others say.
That just reads to me like you're a misogynist who doesn't want a woman with opinions and standards.
Do these men realise how they come across? It doesn't matter, really, because I just don't want to chat and swipe and meet man after man who is either just not a good fit or who seems to be but is always looking for the next best thing. Maybe i'll meet someone one day or maybe I won't but I refuse to believe this is the best or only way to do it.
